why do forum posts disappear?

Once posted to a forum,
- the preview does perfectly work,
- the save does perfectly work
- but it does not show up on the forum as new post?
What happens?

Its seems there was a permissions error that was giving new forum topics no category thus they weren't appearing in the forums.
This has been corrected but let me know if you are still having an issue with this.
